Vyacheslav Kim Completes Acquisition of Alatau City Bank

Almaty, Kazakhstan. 11 July 2025.  Alatau City Bank Joint Stock Company (the “Bank”. Prior to 16 June 2025: “First Heartland Jusan Bank” Joint Stock Company), one of the leading financial institutions in Kazakhstan, hereby notifies that businessman Vyacheslav Kim has completed the acquisition of a 100% interest in the Bank from its previous owner, Galimzhan Yessenov.

Mr. Kim is well known as one of the most successful entrepreneurs in Kazakhstan and brings over two decades of experience in the banking and finance industry. He is the co-founder and chairman of the board of directors of Kaspi.kz.

Commenting on the transaction, Galimzhan Yessenov said: “Since mid-2023, when I acquired control of Jusan Bank, our team has carried out a colossal amount of work to make the Bank more efficient, upgrade its business processes, modernize the product line, and improve asset quality. We focused on achieving sustainable growth and technological progress for the Bank. I am confident that with the arrival of Mr. Kim, Alatau City Bank will be able to build on these positive changes and strengthen its status as one of the leading banks in Kazakhstan.”
