Alatau City Bank launches digital card for self-employed persons

The Visa Business digital card for self-employed persons at Alatau City Bank is available to residents of Kazakhstan over the age of 18 who are self-employed without registering as individual entrepreneurs. It can be opened online via the bank's mobile app.

The product is aimed at self-employed persons whose monthly income does not exceed 300 MCI and whose activities are included in the list of permitted types of services.

As a reminder, from January 1, 2026, Kazakhstan will have a special tax regime for self-employed persons, providing for the payment of 4% social contributions from monthly income. The deadline for paying social contributions is set for the 25th day of the month following the reporting month. At the same time, self-employed persons are exempt from individual income tax.

Only citizens who do not have a registered individual entrepreneur status will be able to open a card. Self-employed persons will need to generate receipts themselves through the E-Salyq Business service.
