Alatau City Bank to Repay KZT 125.3 Billion of State Support Ahead of Schedule
Almaty, 2 July 2026 – Alatau City Bank JSC (the Bank) announces its intention to make an early partial repayment of state support in the amount of KZT 125.3 billion.
The corresponding resolution was approved by the Bank's Board of Directors on 29 June 2026. The repayment will be effected through the early redemption of bonds issued under the government support programmes for the banking sector.
This decision marks another step in reducing the Bank's obligations to the State, following the early partial repayment of KZT 100 billion and KZT 50 billion in 2024 and 2025, respectively.
Commenting on the decision, Kuat Kozhakhmetov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Alatau City Bank, stated:
"The decision to make an additional early repayment of KZT 125.3 billion has been made possible by Alatau City Bank's strong financial position, high level of capitalization, and consistently solid operating performance. We view this step as further confirmation of the effectiveness of the Bank's development strategy. By repaying state support ahead of schedule, we demonstrate our ability to continue expanding our business while maintaining a strong capital buffer and reaffirm our commitment to actively supporting the financing of Kazakhstan's economy. It is important for us not only to ensure the Bank's sustainable development but also to justify the trust placed in us by our customers, partners, and the State."
